Friday night, a head on collision on 1st Street sent everyone involved to the St Cloud Hospital. The collision took place west of the 600 block of First Street North. A vehicle driving west lost control and hit a truck. Both of the drivers and the vehicles' passenger were injured. Investigation continues, but the police did suggest that the vehicle's driver will be charged. It will be interesting to see if it's the common issues of speed or drinking that were part of what happened.

If you are in an accident, make sure to get the names of anyone who indicates they saw what happened. If you witness an accident, check to see if everyone is OK and stay around or at least give the drivers your contact information. If you are injured, seek the advice of an attorney who does that kind of work and who can explain your coverages and rights.

I do not appreciate this being posted everywhere. And I may be dealing with life-threatening injuries too. Get your story straight please. We do not need to deal with the St. Cloud police. They are making our lives harder than it is... OH! And I am sure the driver of the truck was drunk too. Why else did he smell of alcohol?

We sure hope you're okay, and getting the best medical care! Minnesota law gives everyone at least $20,000 of the best medical coverage, and many other benefits as well.

We understand from doing so many of these cases that people after a crash have lots of questions, and that's why we write these stories.

Most importantly, early investigation by an attorney working for you can make a huge difference.

I should also add that a passenger has substantially more rights in a crash like this than than the driver or drivers causing the crash.

The at-fault driver's insurance company is required to defend and pay any injury claims up to policy limits, and to hire an attorney if necessary.

Amanda, I'm sorry if I offended you at all. I post about stories generally to suggest alternatives, look at safety issues, and to give overall advice. I hope you heal up quickly. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
