This week, we learned that Jon Haber is leaving the American Association for Justice CEO position. This is a loss for the organization and all American consumers. Jon was the leader in bringing the organization into the advanced technical world. As an organization of and for plaintiff lawyers it is a hard fought battle with insurance, pharmaceutical, and big business interests.

Jon dealt with issues that included studies that were instrumental in getting the consumer's side of many arguments out to the public. He championed an attitude of response and fighting for the continued protection of consumer rights. He also was involved in political campaigns and legislative agendas that promoted the basic rights of the constitution.

It is hoped that whatever he does next, he continues to do the type of work he has done for the last five years. It's an important fight and he has helped shape the message and agenda. Thanks Jon for the great work for all of us.

I wish him future success and happiness. Hopefully a more than suitable replacement is around the corner for this leading role in fighting for consumer rights and justice.
