Friday morning I-94 in Maple Grove was shut down after a tire came of a dump truck. The tire hit another vehicle and lead to the driver having to be air lifted from the scene. Authorities shut down the westbound lanes for about 13 minutes to create a landing zone for the hospital helicopter.

Our firm has been involved in cases with some of the same facts in the past and have found that early investigation is the key. If anyone saw or knows anything about what happened, they should contact the State Patrol immediately.

If you are in an accident, make sure to get the names of anyone who indicates they saw what happened. If you witness an accident, check to see if everyone is OK and stay around or at least give the drivers your contact information. If you are injured, seek the advice of an attorney who does that kind of work and who can explain your coverages and rights.
