The Minnesota State Patrol reported that Highway 120 was shut down this morning around 6:45 between I-94 and Ramsey County Road 34 when a 47 year-old man was struck and killed. This sad event is yet another example of the many ways pedestrians are in danger on the roads

This death, like any other on Minnesota roads is particularly unfortunate considering the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (MDPS) reported that overall the number of highway deaths has been down.

As with any death in a Minnesota motor vehicle collision, there are a number of issues that will need to be reviewed. My partner, Joe Crumley, addressed this topic in a article for the Minnesota Lawyers Trial magazine. I was interviewed on the same topic
